    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  2. Thanks 'Il Presidente'.....wish I knew how to do that...

'' only one in the world''.....gulp.

  3. Thats an awful lot of 999. If I'd spent that much I'd be looking to recoup a few quid.
Another poorly written advert, who's is it his dads or his? If its kept in a garage the home address is on the V5.

  4. "this was a 35k brand new bike, this once belonged to THE John Hackett, this was a normal 13k ducati 999 and then sent to JH performance centre in coventry and then 22k later this is what you get to show for it"

The receipt actually shows the total, including the bike, to be £22k !

  5. If you were really serious about selling a bike for this kind of money together with its ''interesting'' history the least you would do is get all the facts right....and I would make my mind up whether the bike is mine or my dads!

  6. If I was interested I'd contact JHP to find out more about the bike.

    But I'm not. :)

  7. Despit ehwat he has written, is it worth the asking price?

  8. Yes. Definitely another dreamer. Why so much for what is effectivey a mix and match 999s. Looks like it's had some serious money thrown at it with all the bling on it but personally I'd like to add the bling myself. Everyone's got there own taste though but this one just ain't doing it for me.

  9. 22 grand...........its not true what they say you know...

  10. I'd rather go for the 749R just listed for £2.5k less...:D

  11. It's a very nice bike, but at that price it's a pile of shit...

    • Funny Funny x 1
  12. and not even a dyno sheet......

  13. It's just parts on the list though isn't it? Brake calipers, radial fork bottoms, a slipper clutch and some labour charges. That's accounts for the biggest bits. No mention of suspension set up or engine tuning?

  14. Spend all that money on a 999S and at the end you still have a 999S . I cant understand why people do that. He could have bought an R for that money , The 22k not the 35k mentioned , it still wouldnt be worth what hes asking for it though .

  15. He could have had a Fila 999R for exactly £22K in 2003 - one just sold at a dealer for £14K 2 months ago so yes it would have been worth what he's asking and more than likely more :)

  16. I wonder who had JHP plastered all over it, nice bit of free advertising thrown in, who paid for that. Did he get a discount?

  17. It gets me that people think their stuff is worth as much as they have spent on it. if that was true we would all be sitting on a gold mine.

  18. Not defending this one as it is not worth the current price in times we live in (maybe 8k assuming exhaust is a full system).

JC749 but items are technically worth what we spend on them minus labour/consumables.
The only reason they sell for less or even you think they should sell for less is cause it is now a given to try and not pay for bling. Example bottom tripple clamp fitted to it was 950. It still is same if you wanted new so how come on bike it is worth next to nothing. Go on buy a blinged up bike for price of stock and give me all the bling. Want to see that ever happen.....

In car turning world a tunned up car will sell for what it is worth (or very close to it) with new parts plus a bit of labour.

Example I sold my 996 minus some basic bling. Guy did not want exhaust, did not want carbon front and back cover, did not want carbon heat Shields. He wanted a standard bike. I said fine, changed it all round sold bike. 2 weeks later most of bling sold to same guy. At the end he could have saved me trouble and bought it all at same price he eventually did.

  19. Surely he's stupid to put a picture of the v5 on there with the address too
