Been lurking for a while, and thought it was about time I introduced myself and my 'gert lush' (it's a brizzle term for really rather nice) 999. I live in east Bristol and have just started a new job in Uxbridge. Weather is looking good tomorrow, so looking forward to a nice ride on the 999 instead of a 2 hour slog on the M4 in my little Alfa 147 car. Here she is, she sure is pretty..... I also have a Honda CRF450 Supermoto race bike, but she's broken at the moment. Cheers for now Deaks
While my frame would struggle with that, your right, its a cracker. Welcome from your welsh neighbour here in chepstow.
Hi from west Bristol. Just off to Riders for a bacon sarnie and drool at the Panigales. If I see your gert lush 999 I'll say hi !
RichD, it wasn't you I saw coming back round the 4174 ring road on saturday at the sainsbury's roundabout at 12:30 ? I was in a cage taking the boy to rugby but saw a Black 1098, if so what exhaust are you running? sounded very nice. Cheers Maccaa
Good spot Maccaa, it was me in way back from Riders after a bacon sarnie and a look at the £25k (!) Panigale Tricoloure they've just sold. Mine's got the carbon Termi slip-ons, without dB killers. I have to agree I just love the sound too, probably my fave bit of the bike.
RichD, glad it was the slip ons now I know how mine sounds I've seen that Tricoloure in there for a few months now, hope the buyer got a good deal as this wonderful Bristol weather wont let him/her ride it 'till spring
I've been over to Riders on a saturday a couple of times but it's always been all the Harley brigade talking leather chaps and chrome bits, so I have made a hasty exit. Might have a ride over to monmouth on saturday if its not to cold. Deaks
It can be like that but we used to fill a couple of tables, I am away this weekend otherwise I would of joined you.
I got my bike in Bridgwater as I love going down to Riders there and having a mooch about. Been up to Riders in Bristol a few times but not had much luck getting hold of the sales staff long enough to make a purchase. I found the Bridgwater staff extremely helpful and it's a nice ride down anyway from portishead. Cheers
