Another Hooligan Pensioner

  1. Hi Everyone,

My husband has just told me I can't join this forum because I don't own a Ducati, but I reckon since I've been riding his ST2 for a number of weeks (due to the battery dying on my BMW F800ST) I definitely have enough points to join. I never thought I'd ever sell my much loved BMW F800 but it only took a couple of rides on the ST2 for it to get under my skin. So I'm switching from a reliable German to a sexy Italian and will be looking for a nice shiny ST3 in 2016 when the F800 sells. In the meantime I've nabbed the ST2 while he rides his 848. Looking forward to enjoying the great roads here in the Dordogne next year while I try to keep the 848 in sight.

Best wishes to all for a great new year.

    Jude

  2. Welcome, there should be a sexy Italian in everyone's life.

  3. No hooligans here pensioners accepted :)

Hello and welcome into the mad house

    Will it be red :D

  4. Welcome to the forum :)

  5. Ah, welcome. I understand you don't have any heated grips!

  6. Yes folks, she is my other half. It will be red and she will need heated grips despite living down here in the south of France.
We were out for a ride today on a nice sunny day at 18c, and if there were heated grips on my ST2 she would have switched them on - it's a woman thing! Funny thing is that on the ST2 she rides much faster than she does on her BMW F800ST, and the two bikes are very similar, same weight, same power output.

  7. Welcome. But only Monster owners are allowed to be *hooligan* pensioners :)

  8. Bon soir madmoiselle David:)

  9. Why not try Bob's 848 for size?
    Lighter than an ST... ;)
Or maybe even a 999, you should have no trouble keeping up with him then :)

  10. Can the mods please delete this post as quickly as possible.

  11. Haha.
Actually, I'd like Jude to get a 999.
Then you can sort out the lights and tell the rest of us how you did it... :)

  12. Take a holiday down here in 2016 and I will see what I can do with the lights.

  13. I'd really like red, but not completely averse to black!

  14. Gotta be red ;) lovely to polish

  15. Thank you!

  16. Nope, but I'm sure there'll be something to warm my hands on when we stop for coffee!

  17. Surely a bit of hooliganism can be shared!

  18. Ohhhh no! Bob's 848 is like sitting on a brick:grimacing:

  19. Thanks everyone for your welcome ..:grinning:

  20. Yeah my 999 has a hardish seat but the suspension is surprisingly supple.
