  1. Hi all, just signed up after a long time lurking. I've been riding a Multistrada since the launch of the 1200S (then 1260S) so around 8 years in all, and have loved it. First time I rode one, the mid-range had me laughing out loud in my lid! I'm sorry to say that despite that, I have decided I really needed a change and recently bought a S1000XR M series. I know, I will be berated by lots of my Ducati-loving mates, but just felt a change was needed, so I'll take the shame for now but I'm sure I'll be back!

Live in mid Essex but most of my riding is done abroad. Off to Limoges on Wednesday, which will be my first run on the XR - looking forward to seeing how it compares to the Mutley, they're big shoes to fill for the kind of riding I like best.

  2. Welcome into our mad house :)

A change is better than a rest I'm sure you will be back to ducati, it won't be long :D

  3. welcome

The XR is far better looking, should I ever go down the ‘tractor’ route it could be the one I opt for.

  7. You’ll miss the mid range, for sure. I had an S1000XR, and sold it to buy a 1260 Multi a few years ago. The XR comes into its own in the higher rev range, so I decided to save my licence and get something with more midrange punch.

  8. Welcome and enjoy
