Had an 'eventful' ride out today. Started off sunny but cold and then out near the Shropshire hills noticed a change in temperature and snow. Managed to find some pleasant hailstorms for good measure followed by some short but very wet rainstorms. Finally, got home cleaning the GT down and noticed what looked like a small tack sticking out of the rear tyre. Didn't look much and pressure looked ok, so did a foolish thing and removed it - instant tyre deflation. It was much bigger than it seemed. It's due for a service and its first MOT so will arrange to be collected. I recently bought a sportcomp tyre so just need an inner tube. That's two punctures in two years which is a much higher rate than I've had previously. Still, could have been worse!
