......it seems I have........... Mrs AL ran me up the hospital for an appointment yesterday..........dropped me off and then she went to find a parking space....... ..........silly sod then went over to the parking ticket machine to pay, but left her handbag on the front seat of the car........leaving the car unlocked or so she thought....... ....but she had left the car keys with the remote in her handbag amongst all the heavy junk she has in there........ ......and the remote was tripped.......... ........and our car happens to be one that when the doors are open, they can be locked and they remain locked when the doors get shut............ Spare keys and remote? ..............................In her handbag...... So, I thought she can get it sorted...........phone breakdown..........Nope.......she phones daughter-in-law who is with the AA.........she turns up and phones the AA............three hours before they could get there. Eventually Mrs AL decides to phone our breakdown with the RAC...........two hours before they can get there. By this time the hospital is 'closing'........no cafe, no coffee etc etc.......... You can imagine my mood, which isn't good at the best of times......... I went and had a good look at the car and the door locking knob and then I found a uniformed porter type chappie and asked if he could find me a wire coat hanger - bugger me, he did. Straightened it out and formed a hook..........Door open in 45 seconds...........Alarm blaring. RAC turned up just as I shut the Alarm off........ Mrs Al not talking to me.
