Just bored and my latest craze is golf. Currently playing off 27 (yes I'm a bandit) I'm a member at Chester le street and current clubs are mizuno jpx 900 with nike vapor pro woods and a new odysey o works putter. So what's your story and where do you play etc.
One of the lad's at work is a member there. Me? Well, I think golf courses should be converted to motocross tracks myself.
Started a corporate sales job, so started playing gold 1999. Mates round I'd be 18-20 over, official never below 22. Love a game of golf, 20 deg and not much wind and TBH there really isnt a much nicer way to have a walk. Now I play maybe 1 or 2 times per year.
Haha well I like a broad range of activities. Bikes I've done loads of last 5 years. Numerous bikes TT's track days in UK and abroad so i need something else to keep me interested. I'm too old for boxing now and golf seemed the next most difficult thing. Lol
I was captain of my local golf club in 2002, played of 7 handicap, then in 2010 I was very ill and have only played once a year since in a charity event, I get frustrated now though as I don't strike the ball as I used to. My wife still plays and has a 12 handicap, my son played of 4 but is very busy with work and hasn't played for a few years. Steve
Went rabbit shooting on a golfist course once. More fun than whacking stones around with a bent stick. Shot a hole in every one of em.
Yep it's a frustrating game. I used to shoot mid 80's now I'm around mid 90's but my game and technique are starting to come together after lessons so feel a good number of shots will disapear shortly.
Used to play a lot but the levels of frustration did nothing for my blood pressure... Ended up selling the clubs and bought a shotgun for clay shooting, turns out I’m much better at that than golf and it doesn’t p*ss me off like golf! Any other clay busters on here?
Used to do a lot of clays - 1000 - 2000 a month in late 90’s now only shoot a few times a year - got a Christmas Eve shoot though
Played with a guy once who won a US scholarship for golf, so was worming to being a pro. Played off plus 6 (from memory). It was like playing with Monty when he stroked the ball, and a 180 yd par 3 he used a 9 iron and not full swing.
