  1. Lucas..... I love you :upyeah:

In a non-gay way for any single ladies out there

  2. What did I do?

  3. While I was in the ether over xmas I searched for a good 749/999 database and there are none really so you may have the remnants of a good base there mate as there is some good info.

It might be a good opportunity to use the data and set up a new sticky like before that can be added to by Rob?

The xx9 series bikes do seem to suffer from poor forum coverage to any level of detail and i think what we had built up before was the best out there.

  4. Ive just found that I have the pdf for the DIY clutch replacement from the link if needed.

  5. If we are to move it then it will be loads of work plus some of the sub-threads mentioned on that one are not archived sadly. Those that are have plenty of banter and not needed info.

In short it is not just copy and paste. One would need to actually start reading the stuff to pick the info needed for such thread. I would say there is plenty of 749/999 info still there and if we were to split it amongst each other it would be possible.

You know one person takes one thread, reads it and shortens to essential info needed.

There is thread there what to look out for when buying 749/999 with all info needed for first time buyer but also user mentioning all those little things that do go wrong on them if left as per Ducati. You know rubber finger from glove over starter solenoid behind battery and such :D

  6. Also who knows how long such archive is held.

  7. Yeah I can imagine.

Im willing to help but the question remains how would it be structured as currently the forum isnt sub-divided for specific bike but rather comes under the title "superbikes"?

If in the future it was sub-divided maybe have a sticky so that it is at the top of the column to prevent repeat threads as noobs dont always head towards the DIY section like last time?

Ive just had a look through the link again and its a bummer about the photos as they make the content really.

Saying that there is still plenty of textural info like you have started with - torque values etc and there is more like the dash reprogramming details from nog.

  8. well some pictures are still there. Some were hosted outside and you can check links so we might get lucky. Finally if you know subject then you might be able to find similar photo on net.
