Any Suggestions As To Options? Givi Soft Bags

  1. Panniers Or Throwover Bags
I like to go away for a day or 2 on the bike so bags would be a good option.
Any suggestions as to options? I've seen the Givi soft bags - anybody got an opinion on 'em?

    Thanx

  2. For a day or two I’d look at Kriega luggage. Either one of the packs to attach to the bike, or a backpack if you’re fit and healthy. It’s all fully waterproof, and very well made.

  3. I have SW Motech Blaze panniers for use on my 1098
I also made my own brackets so could use them on my F4
    I also have Kreiga tail packs US20 + 2xUS10

Used on various bikes (S1r, GS…) very secure. Loads of space. Waterproof internal bag. My go to for week long tours, prefer it to panniers tbh.

Kriega is ok and I still use a us20, but the fasteners are more tricky, ideally kriega stuff works best when the bags are rammed full. The kriega fastening straps are more likely to come in to contact with paintwork and other parts of the motorcycle and the straps go under the seat, which is more of a faff.

  5. Givi soft duffel type bags are brilliant. Cheap as chips, you can ride through a monsoon and nothings getting wet and you dont need daft panniers and fancy expensive strap on ruck sacks to lash it on the back of your bike. Bit of non stick matting a couple of bungees and roberts your mothers brother..
