I'm thinking of going this November and wondered if anyone has any recommendations? I'm not interested in a full hospitality experience, but I would quite like a simple 'package' - anyone used any of the millions of companies that promise this? Alternatively, hotel recommendations and hints on getting from Valencia to the circuit would be most useful. Cheers Steve
Trains run from Valencia main station right to circuit entrance all weekend. Best way to get there. Easy to use Metro from Airport too. Most hotels put a premium on at MGP weekend. We've used Hotel Continental right in city centre near Post Office about 6 times. Good 2 star with breakfast buffet.
Yes Streetfighter is right. we've been twice and we drove both times. The local comunidad couldn't organise a piss nup in a brewery. 2nd visit we drove from Barcelona and got stuck in stationary traffic for 5 hours because they closed the car parks for absolutely no reason. Bookinfg a hotel in Valencia is dead easy over the internet and you can either fly into Valencia or Alicante if you don't mind the drive. We stayed near the Aquarium both visits and had a great time. I've used GP Ticketshop for MotoGP tickets since 2006 and their web site is informative and shows you where on the track the big screens are. Atmosphere is fantastic and it is usually packed. In 2006 when Hayden won because Valle fell off, there were rumoured to have been over 100000 people there. We watched the bikes leave for more than 3 hours. Go and have a great time, you'll not regret it. Oh yes, look out for the Amstellarias, you have a beer tap at your table and they display a table league of who is drinking the most - it's hillarious. If you go on a bike beware the local back roads. When I went they were like glass - slippery as a diesel slick. It doesn't rain for months on end and dust and oil just build up. The back of the 999 was continually stepping out - scary. Get tickets in advance somehow - it seems to sell out ( or it did 10 years ago). There is no shade and a dry sandy wind which will see you turn into a lobster over the course of the day if you don't take adequate precautions.
my ex girlfriends brother lives up the road..he would probably put you up, but he's an utter arsehole so probably not and im not seeing or talking to her anymore, so best not to ring on second thoughts. that said, i wouldnt mind going...

Yup been twice and going this year, plenty of hotels to choose from, we'll land in Alicante (closest from our local airport) hire a car a drive up, drive to the circuit from the hotel in previous years has been around 30 mins, getting out is similar. Tickets I've yet to buy but turn one is always good so I'm tempted to buy the same.
My brother is talking about doing Valencia as an early company xmas bash - just a long weekend of drinking and racing. May bump into you...
