Anyone Have A Rsv4 1100 Factory?

Discussion in 'Other Bikes' started by Sicilian, Sep 6, 2022.

  1. As the title anyone have one of these? I'm really tempted by their current offer.

Anyone here had a Panigale and one of these to give a true comparison? What are they like riding position / comfort wise compared to a Pani?

  2. When I decided I could no longer physically ride my V4 Panigale on track, I started to look for an alternative. The Tuono V4 Factory was one of the bikes I rode which has a similar riding position to the RSV4. From my perspective, the Tuono was virtually the same as the Panigale, uncomfortable. Performance wise, I managed about 15 miles, it’s a licence loser :D Andy

  3. I've looked a the Tuono, but I've got no intention of replacing my SF V4S. Tuono would be too similar a bike. Just not sure how aggressive the RSV4 riding position is and finding someone local with a bike to test ride is a bit of a mission.

  4. I sat on one at the Bike show and really liked it

Very compact and focused - great riding position for hanging off on the track - really felt like the tank offered great support.

Like all modern supersports bikes though it’s not going to be comfortable in town and touring.

Felt like it would put more weight on the wrists than the V4 Panigale.

Not sure what offer you are referring to but Wheels in Peterborough are doing them for £19,499 if you fancy a quick ride up the A1 it’s not too far from you.

  5. I own a 2019 RSV4 1100 Factory and i find it so comfortable to ride. It's the best sounding bike IMO. Ergonomically it suits me because i'm a short arse! Long rides on any race bike can be tiresome and wristy and the RSV4 is no different. I've recently taken mine on track and it was awesome.

Although the 22 RSV4 is a better bike in terms of electronics and swingarm I think they are god dam ugly!

  6. How big are you? My mate had one and couldn’t get on with it at all. But he’s a big lad, 6’ 3” and quite well built. Think he chopped it for a gen4 bimmer and now has a V4R. Which he loves….

  7. I'm around 5' 10", well built, not too much of belly though lol!
I think I'm going to try and blag a test ride somewhere and also test ride the S1000RR M Sport.

  9. I've not ridden the Aprilia, but I reckon once you've ridden that and the Beemer, you'll prefer the Aprilia.

The BMW is amazing, but just doesn't have that soul and wow factor IMHO

RSV4 on my list for one day.....

  10. Mate has an M Sport, albeit fully carboned up and tricked. Its very very fast. 207rwbhp too. Its a seriously nice bit of kit and the dash is the best.
The prilly engine makes the bestest noise though.

  11. I just chopped out a Tuono v4 Factory for an S1000rr. Could not be happier.

  12. Not ridden one but I have some mates with them.

i sat on one the other week and tbh with you at 6ft4 I thought it felt like my old race bike (in a good way) - I like my pegs high.

heard nothing but good about them. Supposed to be exquisite out of the box. Arguably the best (track).

If you buy a gen 4 s1000rr make sure it’s in warranty.

  13. Was seriously tempted to change my M sport for the new 2021 RSV4 Factory but didn't get the deal I was looking for and dealers weren't overly keen to sell bikes I found. I'm sure it'll be better for you guys in England with more of a choice for servicing but there's only 1 dealer in Scotland and they didn't hide the fact that if I didn't buy my bike from them I'd be at the back of the queue should I need any service work.

As for the bike itself, I test rode the 2019 bike when it came out and thought it was amazing, the noise is incredible and for me only the R1 can come close in that respect. The new 2021 update seems an improvement with a bigger cc engine and swingarm but I'm hearing that they have reliability issues and nearly every bike has had an oil leak of some sort.

I've agreed a deal on a 2018 Panigale V4S and it's just waiting on some service work to be done. I'm trading the M sport in for it. I just fancy something different, the Beemer is very very good even if they're not the most reliable bikes (I've not had any issues with this one but it's my 2nd) and the dash is by far the best on the market just now. Build quality isn't great and they sound like scooters lol. If you want a bike to ride fast and easily then the Beemers the bike. Probably the best sports bike you could buy for the road in my opinion but that's what makes it boring I feel.

  14. Fully agree. Having owned a V4s, latest version of Tuono V4 Factory and now S1000rr the BM is best bike on the road by a country mile. Build quality appears good but plastics (black bits, levers etc) feel cheap. Reliability is hopefully sorted now.
Tuono sound is simply incredible and half the reason why it is so naughty- always egging your on.
The Ducati (mine was a 2018 gen 1) is mental and very special.
    Take your pick and enjoy.
