  3. I'm guessing...........'77 is far beyond the era I know............so maybe it isn't that desirable (not compared with the really big bubble side panels).....

The most I would pay for something like Douglas is £600.

  4. Call Armando's at Bramhall Lane, give you spot on quote.

  5. He's got a sx200 lambretta too that's mint.

  6. Now we are talking 848 money maybe a 1098 if he is lucky but i wont be a s,if it was 100% original it could be worth a r.

  7. He's turned down £10k for the sx200. It's blue and white from memory and is in his hallway. This Vespa one has been left in a shop window for last 10 years and now he has nowhere to keep it. Said I'd buy it at right money but can't decide what right money is.

  8. I was going to say the same as AL as it's an unknown quantity* but it does look clean despite*. Does it run? would owner let you try and run it? £600 - 1000 at a guess if it's 'as good as it looks' with no bad dings and runs ok.

  9. Its a difficult one to put a price on,old Vespa's are not as desirable as Lambretta's and its a very niche market, dont think you will make money if you resto it but might be able to turn a few hundred if you sell as is,might have to bide your time, tbh your mate seems clued up on values so you may not get a bargain.

  10. He paid £300 for it about 20 years ago. Told him to let me know a price if wants to get rid. He was more interested in getting me to store it for him but I'm not into that as it'd be in my garage for another 10 years.

  11. As far as I am aware, the model below is the most sought after. This a 1960-ish GS160, though.......the GS200 was supposed to be the best.

  12. Had two 125 Sportiques and a 150 from the 60's. They always got more attention than the Lambretta of the day for looks but could be dangerous on L.H. bends 'cos of engine weight distribution. Some would say they were all dangerous of course.

  13. I passed my bike test on my mates Li 150 becaue my bike was dog rough...............

.............we never did work out if I was insured or not at the time...

......but I wish I knew where he was now, because that was one helluva thing to lend your wheels to someone even in those days.

  14. I passed my test on a Vespa. 150 Sportique, 8" wheels. Got a bank loan and bought a brand new 750 Bonneville a few weeks later. Crashed the Bonnie into back of a car about a month later and rode the scooter while getting new fork legs. It was scary, I couldn't drive it after riding a proper bike. Also had a GS 160 that never worked that I gave away and a TV175 bored out to 200 that self destructed.

  15. A good TV 175 (the early version with the rounded shape panels) had a lot of torque.......No trouble with one of them pulling with two people up long hills.........

  16. Ain't worth nothing to me. They were cheap transportation, nothing more, but now people are paying crazy money for them. I met a guy last year who coughed up ten grand for a wanky old Lambretta:eek:

  17. Likewise. Only ridden a Vespa once, about 35yrs ago and what a load of old shit it was with it's tiny wheels and twistgrip gearchange.

The old mods & rockers thing was before my time but I could never have been a mod due to the wanky choice of transport...
