Hi all Mrs H and I have a GS booked as a rental bike for a 10-day trip through Croatia next week I gather that the GS has a "powerlet" socket on it which I can use to power my phone with an adapter. Can anyone tell me whereabouts the powerlet socket is on the bike so that I can work out how long a lead I will need to reach the phone holder on the handlebars? Thanks
Probably around 500mm long lead would have some spare. Got my S5 mounted in a holder above speedo for Copilot (satnav) on phone.
Visit a bmw motorad dealership & see it in person. Because on my beemer you need a din-lead that changes size to a normal 12V lighter socket. Motorworks BMW Motorcycle Specialists - Shop - Spares and Accessories
^^ Yes, get a 'powerlet' to USB adapter plug from Nippys Normans. Around £15. Apparently some powerlet to car type converters dont always work. So above the safest option as you wont have the opportunity to send things back etc....
I have bought this Motorcycle DIN Hella Socket Dual USB Charger for Phone / GPS SatNav: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics And this Hopefully should be ok! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The Mrs didn't fancy the Multi. We tried both and as a pillion she MUCH preferred the GS. In the interests of domestic bliss she is calling the shots on this one! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
