Anyone painter/coated their 848/1098/1198 wheels?

  1. I keep looking at my black wheels on the 1098 and think they need a perk up. I do like the gold wheels on the R's. Is it a big job to prep and paint/powder coat them? My mate has a powder coating machine and I am sure he would do them if I prep them.
Anyone got any pics of their wheels painted? (I like the 848 on the "rim tape thread").

  2. If you are power coating you will need to remove any bearings or rubbers.

  3. Think my wheels are just painted,(848) grey like the engine casings, the previous owner had it done , I think the grey is a bit different to all the black and gold

  4. No bearing or rubbers in the rear wheel, they're all on the single sided hub. Just the valve

  5. I know that

  6. He knew that...:upyeah:

  7. I thought he knew that too if I am honest......... Then again, I reckoned Nelson would have known that he knew that too.

  8. You knew that I knew that

  9. I knew that you knew, but I just wanted to make sure that the OP knew. But now that they know and also know that you know and I know its should all be good now....you know? :upyeah:

  10. Now that we all knew that he knew, has anyone any pics of their painted wheels?

  11. Yes, but even though you probably certainly know that you probably did, they didn't certainly know that, although you probably did, there is no probability that you certainly would know. Therefore they knew they should make sure you know.
