As above. Considering some supercorsa or rosso corsa scrubs .. Another question, do you guys usually change both your front and rear tyres as the same time?? My front looks okay but the rear is fully spent.
What tends to shag tyres other than incorrect pressures is the heat cycling and with scrubs I'm never too sure how many cold to hot to cold cycles the've had. I usually go through 2 rears to 1 front on average. Some less abraisve surfaces it's 3 to 1, on the more abraisive circuits it's 3 to 2. Andy

You want practice not race tyres, ideally front running national class or BSB team, as they will use a set for max 10 laps then change them. Lots of racers will use them for a few practice sessions, then sell on ebay, or will use for a race then sell. After 20+ laps of some track and/or several heat cycles they will have quite a degraded grip level So the experts say.
The ones I've had have looked like nearly new tyres. Only issue may be is the rear size for a 899. I had a pair on my monster 1100 and they was great value. I even got a brand new set from him off a showroom bike for my monster 696.
I bought a brand new pair of the latest Metzeler Racetech RRs two weeks ago for £230 from a major regional retail tyre outlet. At less than £17 more, it doesn't make the scrubs sound particularly good value to me. Andy
