  1. as above essentially - have ignored for 3 days but is getting worse.

always happens on a Sunday.. I would take warfarin but none in the house apart from rat poison.

  4. Thank you - both of you - just spoke to Thames Doc and are saying the same but at 8 am. I think I will go now as queue ought to have died down by now.

EDIT but I guess little chance of someone being there to treat this.. so will wait until later now.

  7. Thank you Steve - did A&E at 4.30. They did 4 blood checks which came back negative for clots (apart from the one big one :)) but gave me medication anyway. Pain subsided a little and will watch it 'like a hawk' from now on. :upyeah:

  9. It feels like NHS choice's mixed with your local friendly Ducati dealer here. Good you good Chris and what 851 when did you get that I was thinking you got other 8.

  10. you have my full permission to wander off topic on this thread Steve :) - the 851 is MOT'd and I am very happy with it - slight gearbox 'thrum' when tramping on but close to faultless otherwise. Has the Marchesini magnesium wheels at the mo but I must remove this 'summer' to strip and reseal before they are ruined. It has 'your' ST2 rad fitted and modded - it's a snug fit as you well know due to the curved profile - I haven't bothered with a fan yet. I would like to start treating it to some lightweight bits but need to sell something first. My fairings are all repaired and a bit scruffy (but looks ok if you don't stare too hard) so would love to get full carbon set if I find some well made ones. Did think about the Salisbury meet the other week but a bit far.

  11. Chris if you want to sell anything with 9 in front at good price let me know.

  18. Chris. I strongly suggest you don't leave it there regarding the blood tests. I'd recommend visiting your GP as soon as possible.
A&E may have performed a doppler scan & a test called a D-Dimer? The clot(s) can break down resulting in a raised D-Dimer level.

I don't wish to alarm you, just suggesting you play it safe if you think you have had any kind of circulatory blood clot.

  19. good advice there from Mr Rude oldfart

  20. Thank you Rudolph - have just contacted out of hours again after reading your post as I have coincidentally had some light chest pains accompanied by a tight feeling that have only started early hours of today. I told all this to the Doctor at A&E but he didn't think it was related.
