Ducati offer proprietary smartphone connectivity, but it gets 'mixed' reviews. Ducati do not currently offer Apple CarPlay or Android Auto integration, which many of us believe is better designed, better integrated with the apps we use, and more reliable. Obviously it was originally developed for use in cars, but the Honda Goldwing has it, so it can work with bikes. This would cost to licence and integrate, but that should at least in part be offset by not having to develop and maintain navigation etc in house. Let us (and Ducati) know what you think in our poll.
As asked on another thread, what would you be prepared to pay to have Apple Play included on your Multistrada instead of their in-house system. One off payment, annual subscription, not interested?
I'm not a Luddite but I don't use a phone whilst driving or riding, I don't listen to music whilst riding and I don't use a sat nav. I'm happy for the technology not to be included as standard at all. Andy
I use Android Auto in the car, works great for A-B navigation. For bike use I wouldn't use it TBH, as creating and saving specific routes in the same way as you can with a decent dedicated GPS just isn't practical/possible.
I feel so Sorry for the people that cannot survive without a fifth limb Happy to be called a luddite etc But I can tell where I am without electrics. What time of day it is and where north is
