With a heavy heart the time has come to have to let my RRV go to a new home. The bike is in fantastic condition, has a pile of spares, wets on wheels, tyre warmers, spare pair of tyres, paddock stands front and rear etc The original 450 engine has been swapped out for a 550. The 550 has less than an hours run time. The bike is an ex Aprilia challenge Race bike, I bought it from Edge Racing Estimated 80bhp weighing in at 118kgs I had it painted black and wrapped by Imageworks in Colin Edwards livery. More info/pictures available on request Looking £5000 for the bike and parts as is Will do the bike with spare 450 (less than 2 hours run time since rebuild) engine for £6500. There aren’t many of these around especially in this condition
Could you explain the servicing regime, sort of what’s required and when ? Currently running a very tired 5EB R6 and need to decide if I refresh the R6 or go for something different. Also appreciate the seat height. Cheers, Andy
I’d change engine and gearbox oil after every track day but that’s OTT. Engine requires refresh at 50-60 hours runtime. Cal550 has done my engine refreshes up to now. It’s an Aprilia SXV engine, high output lightweight fuel injected V-Twin They are a pretty small bike, like throwing a bmx round.
You thinking for you @Android853sp ? These are very small bikes….I’d love one, perfect track tool, but would be too small for me.
I’m looking to move away from a sports bike for the track, my shoulder and neck are complaining to the extent I needed pain killers every day at Almeria last week. Carole’s R6 is not in its first flush of youth and I have been considering other options. This one might be a little too technical for my skill set though. Andy
Can’t imagine it’s much different to most and iirc the servicing with a dealer is normally pretty reasonable on these. Bear in mind it’s and enduro/mx motor and normally gets refreshed regularly
