Looking like BAU so far, with Rae second on the grid. Depending if Chas doesn’t crash...he may push Rae. Camier and Honda runnng the new ecu this weekend and look to be struggling a bit. And Ducati have another fast rider in the grid..smells of aiming to flood bikes between melhandri/Chas and Rae . Race on...
This blinding quiet on this thread really surprises me, race 1 was an absolute cracker, race 2 coming up soon after a quite good Supersport race, where is the love for WSBK? Especially as Ducati is featuring so well this year.
Seems the manufacturer title is in the bag! Lol Fores, hell of a ride. Rae now 14 points I’m the lead and looking ominous for the season...but wtf is up with Sykes?! All at sea given his performance so far. And moaning about losing their advantage yesterday...
Is no one else watching? Great second race, awesome job by Chas and the revs changes really seem to have impacted the KRT team. Find it funny that Sykes is complaining they have lost their advantage...one he hasn't been able to exploit for 3 yrs....and makes it a boring almost one-bike series. This year looks pretty good, although I think they mentioned the concessions will change next round so KRT may get the revs back. Lets hope they adopt the showdown system next year LOL And Mel bikes is still f*cked: how does he ride it?! GWS Camier, out for at least Assen.
Yeah I still watch it, admittedly with far less enthusiasm than I have done over many previous years. Know what you mean by Sykes, he's just too easy to muscle out of the way and screw up his rhythm, all that aggression he used to seemingly lay down in qualifying has always gone out of the window during the races. All the Ducatis are looking fast but I still like to root for Chaz bless him, that's not taking anything away from Melandri though because he's one hell of a rider too. The problem is that wsbk has been all about kawasaki for years now and it's really really boring. First Sykes and now Rea. I'm not a huge fan of Rea I have to admit, but there's no denying how quick he is, and his race 2 game plan of making overtake moves quickly before anyone gets rhythm has worked for him and him alone. Some are questionable but in the most part he's just quicker at making the decision. And there's the problem, it's always a Kawasaki and I can't be the only fan turned off from it, and I even still watch just to get some me time in front of the television.
I still enjoy the series, it can be a bit of a precession some times, but it looks like things are on the improve this season, we shall see. It's great to see plenty of Ducati's at the front so far, Fores is really throwing the cat among the pigeons.
Great racing but fast Freddie’s commentary.....Greg Haines a bit dodgy too All the racing was good this weekend inc F1 and formulaE.
Watched race two last night, some cracking moves in there. Can't get over Melandri bike , ridiculously unstable to the point of being bizarre. Looking forward to watching race one when I get a chance.
Yeah, agreed, if you can see Melandri's bike that badly on TV it must be shaking his fillings out! Ref the earlier comments about Sykes, I've had enough frankly.... He has been nothing but bullsh*t excuses for 3+ years now, the bike has been different every year and yet he is just an excuse book. It's not like he is just running in 2nd/3rd place and not able to quite get up there with Rea, he is being outclassed consistently and ended up in the lower fringes of the top 10.
