999 Are Earlier And Later Nose Fairings Interchangeable?

I don't believe they are easily interchangeable as the later nose is wider than the earlier model's.

I'm hoping that a bit of tweaking can be done to make it work, though.

Interested to hear of anyone else's experience of this.

 

As @Loz has stated there are differences which make fitting between model yeas difficult.

Essentially the 05 on nose is slightly wider and therefore requires the 05 on mirror stays fitted to your light housing. The angle of the top line of the fairing where it meets the nose cone from memory is slightly different too so it often doesn’t fit correctly if you are trying to use a combination of late fairings/early nose.

Just to add there are also differences in fit between the r and standard/S fairings (and nose cone). It really does depend on the year of the parts, model and if they are made by a aftermarket manufacturer

 

As stated the mirror stays are different since the later fairing is slightly wider. The early side fairings are not a perfect match with a facelift nose but they don't look completely horrible either. The nose in the pic is off an early R but the dimensions are the same as the plastic facelift one.
