Had a quick blast on Saturday and got home to see the chin vent on my RX7 was hanging off, one of the plastic clips has broken. I've replaced these easily on other Arai's over the years so went off to buy one and here lies the problem. The chin vent on the GP model (IE chin vent if you're interested) is available to order but must be fitted by a trained Arai technician??!? So no-one will post one out to me and I can't seem to find a local Arai service centre. Can anyone help in locating said chin vent (gloss black) please.
It would be handy to have a place you could take your lid for repair. Other than having to go to race meeting. Or by sending it off. I had a chin vent fixed once and got a loaner, but I had to wear the loaner for ages. Ive a few top vents on mine that need fixing, but I just can't be arsed with all the boxing it up, posting malarky. Maybe I should google it. I could've for all the time in took to post this bollox.
I get any Arai vents, replacement pads etc that I need from Motostorm in Italy. Wide range of parts includng those Arai dealers over here won't sell you, and for me have been easy to deal with, and reasonable on cost.
