Hi there just got a streetfighter v2 23model and thinking about fitting arrow slip ons on the bike would I have to get it remapped or could I use the up tune map for it
A Upmap would be better than a standard map, if you change the filter also, it should remove some of the 'lean' conditions that the standard maps have to keep heat in the exhaust, but a proper tune is probably the way to go longer term. If you are asking if the bike is 'safe' to run like that, none of us are experts, but many do run the bike like that.
Slip on’s are generally okay to run without a map… will a map improve things though?!, Ofcourse. You do have to be careful with mapping with cats still in though as with some maps, on some bikes, the cats get too hot and eat themselves
The V2 runs fine without any new map. I got some off eBay from Italy, asked them if they would put a lower value on. Still got fees but cost about £1k including a servo plug.
