Strange how they still have the same issues across decades of the same model... Personally, I never had an issue with reliability. Sure, my second 748 blew it's guts all over my leg mid ride and needed a full engine rebuild. Sure my 1098 rear shock leak was an unexpected problem. Sure my first 1200 multi had a fuel sender issue, but who doesn't? I don't think it's a reliability issue, more ineptitude of quality over quantity. Plus, as the new bikes are showing us, they are all from the same parts anyway, it's now down to what colour you like rather than what will last
