Audi are the front runner for the purchase of Ducati apparently Audi poised to buy Ducati - | Motorcycle News | Bike News | Motorbike Videos | MCN I was just reading a similar topic on multistrada.net......I liked this response [by Miles' (Milo....)]
Actually I like the idea of it being European owned rather than the Indian Hero Co. No disrespect meant to them but Ducati is a European brand. For me to say that after having given up on Audi cars after 3 new ones in a row caused me loads of grief is strange. I found myself test driving a TT as a potential 4th Audi until I woke up to what I was doing and hot footed to the nearest Honda garage. 7 years later of owning that same Honda all I've done is serviced it. Their cars are like their bikes - hassle free. I wouldn't want to own an Audi out of warranty. But then we don't own Ducatis for their hassle free nature so I can't see things changing when/if Audi run the show.
Lamborghini are all the better for being owned by Audi IMO, so if they do have to be sold they in my book would make a good parent company
