1200 DVT Auxiliary Lights

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by NSR500, Dec 7, 2020.

  1. Does anyone know of any aftermarket lights that fit the DVT and plug straight to the existing loom or even any lights that can be adapted to suit the original wiring.

  2. So far, no. You may need to find an adaptor bracket for the lights you are trying to fit, as well as the correct connectors for an OEM fit. What lights are you thinking about fitting btw?

  3. No specific lights in mind, was wondering if I can make up connections to match oem to whatever I buy

  4. Proper sized wires and correct connectors should work out just fine. Don't forget. You will need to have the dealership activate the aux light function for the handlebar switch to work. :pensive:

  5. Surely the lights themselves need to be the correct rating to avoid the Canbus throwing a wobbly?

  6. ^ Good point! I forgot about the Canbus. Make sure of proper wattage and amperage as well. Anyone have the OE specs?

  7. Likely to be reluctance from your Ducati dealer agreeing to enable non OEM lights I reckon. Matching specifications or not.

  8. This is exactly why we need someone to release some software so we can update our own bikes. It is ridiculous that dealers can still dictate what can and cannot be added to our own machines.
