Good morning everyone Could someone tell me where I can buy the electric cable kit to install auxiliary lights for the multistrada 1260S. Thank you
I think it comes with the lights when you buy them. Not sure if you can buy this separately but I’m sure @steveb123 will be able to tell you
Definitely comes with the lights if you buy the Ducati ones. Other lights may not work with the canbus if it's not Duc ones you're looking at.
The 1260S Grand Tour model had the LED Aux lights fitted as standard and therefore the individual parts are shown on the parts catalogue. Ducati no longer make available the PDF versions of parts catalogues online however some dealers/parts suppliers make them available on the web (e.g. In Moto web site www.bike-parts-ducati.com) complete with part numbers and prices. The image below is from the 1260S GT Accessories webpage: The cable is item 12, part number 5101A861B and is priced at £39.52 on the webpage. I had the cable replaced on my 1200S MY2015 when the aux lights developed an intermittent fault and threw up errors on the dash. I know the aux lights need to be enabled by a dealer. The aux lights for 2015+ models are controlled via the CAN Bus from the dedicated switch on the left hand switchgear cluster, which means that it may not be possible to use the cable to connect to non-OEM aux lights. Using the Ducati cable with non-OEM LED lights has been discussed before so someone else on the forum may have direct experience.
Here's a version for the 2020 1260 Multistrada Grand Tour Parts Manual https://issuu.com/desmoworks/docs/multistrada_1260_grand_tour_usa_my20 Auxiliary lights on p 136.
