Hi Every one , As you are all aware Moto G P is now only available on B T Sport 2 which is not available on "non internet t v's & p c's" The t v I want to watch it on/am regularly allowed to watch it on is old tech . My question is " is there a gadget that will allow me to watch Moto Gp practice ect on it "? This would obviously use the wireless signal in the house .
My experience of Apple TV is that it isn't very good at streaming from another device; motion tends to be jerky. Why not just watch on a computer / laptop / tablet ?
What do you mean by "old tech"? What inputs does it have? I just connect my laptop to one of the HDMI inputs. The quality's watchable using wireless, but I find that it seems slightly less laggy using a wired connection (via Homeplug) to the router.
I Stream it from my iPhone through Apple tv in hd if it's not hd it's a bloody good picture. I have had connection issues with iDevice's and home hub 5 so I lose the programme at random times (last lap of cota!), BT deny any issue. I've now turned the Wi-Fi off on it and have my old router plugged in using that as my beacon all good so far and cheaper than buying a new VDSL2 modem/router.
There is a known BT home hub issue. Certain devices actually now state they are not compatible with it. Like you say, hook up an AP and you're sorted. I'm lucky enough to run the IT at work so use their BT account to get my sky box BT Sport. If I'm unable to use that TV though I use a Raspberry Pi running as a media centre. On there I have an 'app' that lets me stream BT Sport
I have the basic BT package to enable me to watch the BT sport on my computer. I use an RGB cable between my laptop and TV which enables me to watch the laptops screen content on my TV. I also have another lead plugged between TV and laptop which does the audio. Has been working well for the last 3 races although not 100% perfect as the 'Silverlight' plug in has crashed on a couple of occasions necessitating a reboot of the plug in. I'm a bit behind the times with keeping up with all the tech stuff, would welcome any advice on how I can make it better. I must say I'm very impressed with the BT sport coverage of the racing, great quality filming, superb slow mo shots, interesting interviews and I like all the presenters, would personally like to see Azi back and Suzi Perry, but you cant have everything! btw I have an Iphone, am I missing anything with the ability to possibly use that to somehow connect with my TV to watch the racing to eliminate the 'silverlight' plug in crashing issues?
John, get an Apple TV and you can connect that to the TV and then anything on the iPhone can be displayed on the Apple TV. It's a cinch to sort out and it works. AppleTV is an HDMI connection but you could convert that if needed,
Sorry Rob I don't understand! Are you suggesting that I buy another TV from Apple which I then connect to my existing TV? Confused.
Chromecast. The BT SPort app has built in chromecast support. Just hit the symbol and the chromecast will connect to the BT servers and stream it to you tv. Your phone/tablet/laptop is then free to do other things with. http://www.google.co.uk/intl/en_uk/...|+Chromecast+|+GB+|+en+|+Hybrid+|+Text+|+BKWS
Rob I just found out that Apple Tv is not a TV ( what a fucking surprise) Just attempted to speak to someone from Apple using their published number, now have a headache after trying to speak to automated robot. I give up !
Ah, didn't realise the Chromecast supported BT Sport. That's a great idea. Tempted to get one, but: Not enough HDMI inputs on our current TV, might have to buy a new one (sounds like a good excuse, anyway) I'm considered jacking in our BT Internet subscription, in which case I'll probably pay for the MotoGP streams rather than BT Sport.
I have an Apple TV and found that if I streamed to it from my MacBook Pro laptop there were steps in the video every few seconds. I don't have an iPhone, but I do have an iPad. I have had other issues with my home network which I am slowly getting sorted. Maybe I need to experiment some more. Snipping the wire on connector 3 on the BT Master Socket Baseplate to speed up my broadband connection was a big improvement. It immediately went from 4.5Mbps to 7.5Mbps, which is what I was getting from the Master Socket itself .
I've been watching the gp's on bt sport through my virgin box, bit of a bonus as I was told I wouldn't be able to this year??
Virgin boxes, Apple tv that isn't a TV, snipping connections from Bt master socket's, Raspberry Pies- I yearn for the days of my old crystal set and the hum and smell of Valves warming up!
Do you only have 1 HDMI or something? If so, just get a splitter box. I got one from eBay. Cheap as chips and works perfectly
Just to add to my increasing frustration with contemporary tech, just logged on to BT sport and what do I see? FFS!
