  1. Having a chat with the missus last night about all the horses masquerading as cattle and it occurred to me there probably been worse things sold openly and enjoyed (at the time) like the Vesta Curry circa 1976  and what's more its still available, seem to remember my folks thought it a real treat! well actually me Mum did, I can still hear the old man moaning about all the foreign muck for tea again.....

Vesta Curry & Rice with Beef 236g: Amazon.co.uk: Grocery

There's got to be more shockers what else was truly that bad????

  2. Not forgetting the Curry'd Egg incident - but that was more bad politics than bad food

  3. As kids my scottish Grandmother made us eat haggis!

I still dread to think what was in it.
She had it sent down by her sister who lived in carnoustie (spelling)

  4. her indoors cooking (someone had to say it)

  6. Luncheon meat. WTF is that? Spam, same question.

  7. Aeroplane food - should not really be called food (may e different in business or 1st class, but mostly vile in cattle class)

  8. The food on SAS was very good, other than that its pretty nasty.

  9. I remember seeing the Gate Gourmet strike action on the box a few years back. Not eaten airplane food since

  10. I'm amazed no-ones mentioned kebab meat

  11. I particularly liked the poppadoms that went with those Vesta curries. Like greasy, dried tagliatelle with bubbles in:upyeah:

Years back I sold a computer to the local curry shop owner, and got free curries for years after, right up until the time he got closed down after traces of domestic pets were found...

  12. They are talking kebab meat now .
I've always wondered how long does it round and round for getting hot and cold .Insects getting stuck to it and cooked in :) being sneezed on and stuff ;)
    What is it made of??
It looks like mystery meat to me.

  13. Somewhere in Africa there's a herd of hopping elephants :(

  14. The big spinning stick of meat, synonymous with every kebab shop, was actually bought to the market by an englishman. It always amused me that the entire UK kebab industry was at the mercy of a pasty brit!

  15. Also known as "Red Dwarf cheese".....see what I did there?

  16. Tripe.

    In any form.
