  1. Well worth a look and a great excuse for a mid week ride out.

  2. Looks like it’s going to be a scorcher. Talking to John McGuinness at the weekend and he’s going to be racing up the hill.

  3. Local lad Ryan Staveley beat world champion David Knight to win the event overall And a farmers son on a 20 year old KTM knocked out world champion Graham Jarvis on a full factory works bike !

  4. Ah a BSA B50 MX, mine is still for sale on the forum.

  5. Some lovely old bikes there yesterday including a couple of three speed CCM’s. Loads of pictures on the Bainbridge Facebook page apparently.

  6. Cheers Wassy, those CCM's had awesome low down grunt, the BSA B50s used to piss all over the scrambling opposition until the Japs came along with their 2smokes.

  7. The picture on the poster is one of the Lampkin boys from last years event. They turned up in period gear including cork lined helmets !

  8. You could hear what was going between your legs wearing one of those, totally unsafe by todays standards. Would that have been one of Arthur's boys ? Because he had two brothers as well.

  9. I think they were Dougie’s cousins. He was spannering for them. They knew how to pull the wire !
