They can be a bugger to remove. Mine were loctited in and there was a tremendous amount of swearing and promises to deities. I replaced mine with Sato bar end weights to help eliminate vibes as I get numb hands. Yes, normal lefty loosey, righty tighty. I used a bolt, with suitable nuts tightened onto and my torque bar with socket. My allen key was insufficient. Prob about the only thing on a Ducati that wouldnt rattle off.
