If you want a bargain - get down to Lidl. They have thermal tops/leggings both male & female at really bargain price. I have one from last year - more in store this week - and they are the proper "wicking sweat away" fabric.
Aldi were doing similar last week. They had a windproof top that is thin enough to go under the leathers. tried mine today and cor blimey it works, Thermal underneath it
Just been to aldi, bought a new compressor , but had a look around whilst I was there and they still have the base layers in the shop I was in so you never know .
Lidl today had all in one rain suits men's and women's waterproof trousers, base layers and motorcycling rucksacks with back padding, easy access outer pockets for phone and change, chest and waist straps bla bla bla for £14 once tested I will post a verdict but it looks ok.
More Mile base layers are also keenly priced and as good as the various Helly Hansen kit I have purchased over the years for sport and biking purposes. Corners
