Battle Of Britain Memorial Flight

  1. I think Al might have mentioned this, the Lancaster's, Hurricane and Spitfire have just flown right over my house. The sound of those engine's together made me go cold and the hairs stand up. A honour to see and reminds us how luckly we are that we can go for a ride when ever we like, and a great tribute to those who were lost fitting for that freedom.

  2. What time was that and which direction?

I expected to see them over here and heard some heavy engines at about 12.30pm heading East, but couldn't see nuffink.

They fly the same way again tomorrow.

We might also get to see the Vulcan today as well.

  3. They were flying south towards RAF Wattisham. It was about 15:00

  4. That's why I didn't see them.........It's virtually a dead straight line from RAF Coningsby, over yours, to Clacton.

    I meant RAF Waddington, sorry.

  5. They all stopped at Watisham, including the Vulcan, which I did hear but didn't see so guttered about that. I recon it was a re-fuel stop
