Beer.

  1. What's your favourite beer?

Mine, at the mo, is Ringwood Old Thumper

  2. I very rarely drink nowadays. I had a few at the beginning of the month when I went to a gig with friends and the time before that it was New Year's Eve. And the time before that was on holiday in Greece last July. I don't enjoy it that much now.

And I can't do beer. I tend to drink shorts or crabbies.

  3. Peroni

But I'd rather have a cold pint of Stowford Press Cider than anything :upyeah:

  4. After a hefty 25 years in the Army, I can no longer stomach beer or lager, much prefer Stowford Press or a cold Pinot Grigio.

  5. These days I mostly drink my own home brew.

I don't have an all occasions favourite beer - partly depends on the weather and my mood. Lately we've had more Old Peculier weather than Erdinger Weissbier weather. If it's warm and sunny a nice wheatbeer or something reasonably light and golden like St Peter's Golden Ale appeal, but equally I like the dark and sticky stuff whether Belgian (e.g. Chimay Bleu, Kwak) or British (Hog's Back Wobble in a Bottle, and have fond memories of a student evening on Norman's Conquest and Ticklebrain).

The most moreish beer I once tried was a Gales (RIP post Fullers takeover) anniversary ale - very very quaffable, but a special edition.

One beer I've long had a soft spot for is Adnams Broadside (draft better than bottled) - every time I try it after a long break it reminds me why I like it so much - I even had it served at my wedding.

  6. Hook Norton Cotswold Lion. A great session ale.

  7. Had two very nice pints of Wells Bombardier on Saturday night, so that's my #1 for now.

Being a Yellowbelly I should be supporting Batemans, and they do make a good variety of very palatable beverages.

If it is the first week of June then it has to be Okells or Bushys. I generally prefer Okells.

  8. If I can't get Miller High-Life, well, I just settle for Budweiser :upyeah:

  9. All our local pubs were Marston's so grew up on Pedigree, but these day's don't tend to stick to one brand and haven't got a particular favourite......like to try them all, especially on guest beer night.

  10. I am quite partial to Leffe Blonde.

If I can find it Tasmanian Boags beer, when down in St Ives a nice cold Tribute is very tasty

  11. I like a nice cherry beer

  12. My other half likes a nice Fruli which is Strawberry beer.

  13. That's nice also :)

  14. Get away!

  16. I am what I drink.... a bitter man!

  17. Leffe (any of them:upyeah:) theakstons old peculiar, in the pub JW Lees bitter. I also brew my own, currently on Nelsons revenge and St Peters ruby red although I do not brew as much as I used to owing to the fact that i can't be arsed.

  18. My favorite at the moment is Adnams Ghost Ship, which after a couple is ordered as 'go shit'.

  19. Quite enjoying Flacks Double Drop at the moment, also haven't had a bad one from the Badger Brewery or Bowman's
