Would a thread with buying guides be worthwhile? I know that some of usknow our particular models inside out, but are utterly clueless about some of the other models' peculiarities. And perhaps for people new to ducati a buying guide would be of help to them rather than a deluge of I'm looking to buy my first... type threads. case in point- I was asked the similar thing about 999's- I couldn't answer as I really wouldn't know where to start apart from the obvious, belts service etc, but telling him difference in models and years, fairing styles etc - no chance. Just a thought.
I like this website: Motorcycle Specifications Also, what 470Four (and others) have done for the air cooled '90s SS, here, is very useful: http://ducatiforum.co.uk/f4/carby-ss-parts-needed-187/
If it could be a sticky within the relevant sections I think it could work well, if not a sticky people will just ask the questions again without searching the forum.
