looking to get this carbon belly pan off my panigale to put a fan back on. Removed the 2 main hanger bolts - where are the rest! Is it a case of taking the cans off? If so how do these come off I’ve not done this job before! Thanks Tony
You need to remove the exhaust cans. There’s the big jubilee clip on the y pipe at the back and the four big bolt , one you can see in your photo.
I thought so. What the procedure for can removal ? I can’t make out the jubilee clip you are referring to?
Hopefully these help a little. The pipe at the back in the middle has the big clip or you may have some other fastener.
Perfect, thanks. I was was reading about 3 nuts hard to access without taking off subframes, rear wheel etc but I think as the termi has the springs I don’t need to worry bout tht bit
Got it off, those pics helped a lot. Actually fairly easy ish, took the rearsets off for access and also what a pain the top left screw was to put the fan back on! Acess isn’t great on panigales compared to 916 is it
They’re unusual. I find it usually pays to just take the main parts off rather than try and work around them. Once you have done it a few times it’s surprisingly quick to remove the whole radiator assembly , the tank, the rear end, etc if it’s in the way for the job you want to do. The rearsets bolts are at annoying angles , especially the top left one where the Allen key is near the swingarm!
