Belt Change Cost

Discussion in 'Lounge' started by broke, Jun 3, 2021.

  1. My DVT is coming up to 5yrs old and it has 5k on the clock. I’ve been quoted by Riders Bristol for £550 just to change belts, but they also suggested I have the 4yrs service done at the same time which is another £550.
Does anyone know how long does a belt change take. I’ve had a quick look at the price of belts and they come out roughly at the hundred quid (not sure if their OE mind), so it looks as though they want £450 labour, is this good or bad or, they all charge that sir?
And does the 4yrs actually cost that much just to change fluids?

  3. Shop around, I found Riders to be a bit pricey, even compared to other Ducati dealers, I got mine done at MotoRapido in Winchester, which happens to be closest to me

  4. I’m not defending them in anyway, I’ve no experience of them but its not just the cost of the belts - Ducati supplied ones will be c£135 afaik, it’s the time it takes them, or anyone, to actually get at the belts, there’s a lot of bits & pieces need to be removed to gain access unfortunately.
