My wife bought this book for me from the states cost her £102 used and my advice is its no such thing there is more info and advice on this forum than in this book. Disappointed to say the least as its sold as the bible of air cooled belt drive twins, more like 'genesis' or 'exodus' not the full on complete old and new testimony. Avoid it on amazon. What a shame.
It's a good book, and the reprint is much better value! At that price I'd be pissed off too, but original copies command that sort of money. Think of it as an investment ;-)
Nick, I agree its not bad but it just makes me realise the kindle has a future and I am as anti kindle as they come. Just disappointed its sold as a bible and it seriously isn't. like I say gained far more insight into my bike here than in the book. Reprint what reprint .
Not a bike book, but there was one in particular I wanted.....(most people would recognise it as one which Jack Vettriano has referred to in the past....)....... ......It is out of print but it cropped up on Amazon .......Amazon.co.uk: illustrated figure reference manual: Books Look at the price FFS!!! I eventually found it in near perfect condition on Amazon from a Charity Shop website for £22.00 Can't complain......
Peter when she bought it there were only used examples and yes she paid With taxes and post £102. However congratulations for pointing out her folly. And perhaps at that price you should endeavour to buy all copies and sell them on. .
That'll be the reprint though. Having said that, I'm making an assumption that yours is a first edition?
