Bit boring, but my 2010 has just eaten its second battery, first one at 4 years and now only 3 from this one. Always kept on battery maintainer in an integral garage. Oddly, after sitting from Sept till April, it fired up no problem to go for the MOT, but I've not had chance to ride since and now it's dead. Does anyone have a bang on recommended fitment that will last a bit longer? I always feel that the Yousa offerings are a bit laboured when cranking, which must speed up their demise?
Might be worth looking at one of @Exige 's wiring kits, transformed my 749. Cranking was no longer a problem.
A few guys on Facebook have bough lithium iron replacement battery's for there bikes, they say starting is much better and they say they should last a lot longer than lead acid battery's. but I guess time will tell. I've had a Shido LI battery in mine which has been starting strong for the past 24 months, even through winter. I also run one in another bike that spends a lot of time standing and because I forget to disconnect this normally kills a regular battery over winter. The Shido survived this and recovered with a quick charge.
There are many threads on here with info and advice. Some saying they are fab, some saying they should not be fitted to a bike not designed for them in the first place - this advice also from a Ducati Main Dealer Tech. Some have set alight, most haven't of course

They are sensitive to having to much voltage put into them. They also aren't compatible with many regular maintenance charges because of this.
I put a Shorai LiOn in my 2016 15 months ago and its worked great. You can't use just any battery maintainer- it has to have a profile for Lithium. I've had great results with the Genius Charger line for many years, available on Amazon and other places. On all my twins I've used the YUASA YT range. But instead if the YT12's get the equivalent YT14 instead. Loads more cranking amps and fires up the big pistons right away.
The 14 seems to be 15mm wider than the 12 and I'm not sure if it will fit comfortably in the tray? There is a rubber AV 'boot' inside the tray, which you might be able to do away with to increase space? I opted for the Motobatt MTB12B4 in the end, but despite claims of increased CCA, the turnover still seems as laboured as ever? That said it fired quickly, so we will see how this one lasts? One concern, is that the bottom of the Yuasa battery and tray had fluid in/on it, which means the casing must've split? I wonder now if that is a product of me leaving it continuously connected to the Accumate charger, which is constantly topping up the parasitic loads from the immobiliser? As ever, resetting the various DTC, units and clock, took 3 times longer than fitting the new battery!
I changed over to lithium some time ago but my old batteries are still in the garage (hyper 1100) - nothing wrong with them....just went for lighter batteries so if your in travelling distance your welcome to it...
