I know what you mean, but hardly a CX500 :Bag: I guess I do like it more for the alternative engineering than it's beauty!
I prefer the pre bankrupcy Bimota tesi edizione speciale much more elegant beast than that old shitter above. Bimota Tesi ID es
SWMBO and I went to Japan a few years ago and ended up at a trackday at Motegi, there were a brace of Tesi's there and the owners were really giving it some stick ! Appears after a drunken conversation in the evening that bikes are nowhere near as expensive over there due to the MOT equivalent that virtually requires a total nut and bolt rebuild after 3-4 years.
indeed Matt! In order to change the belts you had to remove the engine mounting plates (those machined frame hoops, which meant removing the subframes which meant removing the tie rods which meant removing the ... oh bugger... everything! but then again to put it in context, whern you'd spent 25k on one to buy it a cople of grand to service wasn't really anything you'd bat an eyelid at. On track they're beautiful but the front suspension never really played very well on the road from speaking to owners, ultimately its a pretty heavy peice of kit up front and setting up the tie rods wasn't much fun either. I'd still have one all day long though as they are just wonderful bikes.
Actually a KB but basically the same bike air cooled jap 4 motor not a cbr, I love the early Bimotas when you compare them to the early ujm
Aaaah cheers bradders. Me being stuck firmly in the 80's automatically assume everyone would love my idea of cool. Ta See for me that hb4 looks like every other jap/Italian/German superbike
bb3 nice too...and I used to like the old GSXR 750 one with twin lights, although now it all looks a little dated with too much fairings ala CBR felly mould
