Hi all, I'm looking for a set of dzus fasteners to replace the ones currently on my 748 as they are getting a bit manky. Where is the best place to get some genuine ones from at a decent price? Cheers! Sam
Aye, seen and used them before no doubt they are good but are there any cheaper alternatives? (or am I just asking for crap then?)
I very nearly answered with "in your fairing" But to be honest I tried to go cheap on a vfr years ago and they might as well of been made of chocolate. Pay the extra, it really is worth it in the long run. Anth
I keep an eye out all the time for the very same and the original 'sculpted' look fasteners are hard to find at anything under £5 each unfortunately. Someone has replicated them in a slightly more exotic material and has priced them also around £5. The more common 'pan-head' type are more reasonably priced and appear in gold from time to time. Whatever you do, don't be tempted to use aftermarket aluminium type replicas (or loosely fitting originals) particularly in the two belly locations as you might have a 'Red Bull' experience.
Urgh yeah, I've heard about that. On another note, has anyone used the black zinc plated dzus fasteners? If so, how do they hold up over time?
I'm also in the market for 4 gold fasteners but the ones on line don't actually look gold, maybe you could let me buy yours Drinky?
Ummmm, how will we know if mine idea of gold is the same as yours? If you pm me an address I'll pop 4 in the post for you.
Next time your passing a Help for Hero's, British Legion or the local air ambulance collecting tin drop a few quid in it and that will be just fine mate. Glad to be of assistance.
