I'd head for mid Wales. Get to Crossgates at Llandrindod Wells and then go towards Newtown or Aberystwyth. Crossgates cafe will be packed with bikes at the weekend and there'll probably be a few kicking about on Monday. Greatest roads in the country
Youve never been to Yorkshire have you? Keep telling everyone that the best roads are in Wales, that way no one will will come up here and clog up our roads
The A40 west of Brecon is good. On our last (extremely soggy) trip to Wales in early June we also headed across Black Mountain to and from Ystradgynlais (including a B road which reminded me of the mountain course on the Isle of Man), and from Llandovery (bike friendly caff) up the A483 towards Rhayader. We returned from Rhayader on the A44 towards Leominster, but the A44 further west towards Aberystwyth also good, and the A470 is well worth exploring.
Am going there to live, marriage break up.staying with a mate for a while in tavernspite til i can rent a place of my own. Will be good to meet up with some people to ride with.
Abergavenny to builth wells back to breacon and shot over to devils bridge pop up to Newquay and then ride back down do it in the week to avoid the tourists and police and it's the best day out ever.
