  1. Driving home from work last night went through the crossroad traffic lights and passed a biker coming the other way, he beeped his horn, clearly someone cut him up, next thing BANG, just saw biker flying over this handle bars and landing on the road...never stopped so quick in my life, ran down the road to his aid, at this point he was up and pushing his bike to the side of the road, asked him if he was ok, he said he was but he was clearly shaken, a bloke then came down the road and asked if he was alright, I said was it you did you hit him? Yeah he said but he went through a red light - the guy in the car was in a filter lane waiting to turn right. The young biker said the lights were green...said car driver proceeded to get quite angry and said no they were red and that's why I went??? So little Miss Pixie got the feisty head on, hang on a minute mate he was coming through green I passed him and clearly you thought you could get across you cut him up and knocked him off his bike, if the lights were red that means I jumped them too...you had a due care to wait until he had passed before taking the right turn. So what your saying then its my fault - ermmm yes it was actually - yeah well my cars f**ked - yeah well so is his bike and hes limping. you were at fault. Anyway cut long story short they sorted details, I waited and then gave the young biker mine said I saw it mate here's my name and number I will witness your accident. He was very grateful. What peed me off was 1) the amount of drivers that were going round him when he was trying to move his bike and 2) the completely cock that was at fault and his attitude. I said to the lad apart from a few bruises the main thing is you are ok and standing, he was mortified at what had happened. Just be careful out there guys if you are riding in the dark its not nice and there are not very nice patient people out there.

  2. Ugh, another down. It's a sickening sight and sound, both the sound of the impact and the car coming into your peripheral vision.

Hope the lad wasn't too badly hurt, but the attitude of the car driver is just appauling, how incredibly callous and selfish. :sly:

  3. Well done Pixie :upyeah:

  4. Sounds like my smidsy, all with the solicitors but hearing what they claimed I was doing is laughable but also boils my piss at bit, at least he is mainly ok and has a witness.

  5. Pixie, you are a good person :upyeah:

  6. Good on you - im sure it was a great help to him to have your support at the scene ,

  7. Well done that girl.

  8. Well done, hope the car driver was insured.

  9. So...guy sat in traffic for ages while peolpe pass the opposite direction as hes waiting to turn right, lights go red, finally a break in the traffic so he goes for it, for a bike to whizz thru a red and go across the bonnet. Was he in the road past the stop line waiting to turn right?

Sunds like typical winter road carnage driven by combination of driver not being able to gauge a small headlight coming at speed and young invincible commuting biker in a rush to filter traffic

could be wrong of course but does sound a little 50/50....its not ALWAYS the car drivers fault and sometimes even one who is incredibly observant can be a SMIDSY

hope the lad gets it sorted

  10. Good on yer for stopping.

Always good to do the good deed... :upyeah:

  12. No the lights were on green and the lad on the bike had right of way., the car driver was impatient and cut across probably thinking he could make it, the lad on the bike wasn't speeding neither filtering he was not in the wrong, the car driver was in this instance. He should have waited for the road to be clear and no oncoming traffic, guess he just wanted to chance his luck at getting across, unfortunately with bad consequences. Definately not a 50/50 100% car driver in the wrong.
