So what is to be expected of Marquez? Straigth to the top or Bradl period at 6th place? Personally, i expect him to be up there very soon... what a series this year! Koen
He will spend his season crashing - assuming he manages to get out of a hospital bed. This is because he rides 10/10s, almost never reigns it in and even in Moto 2, continually has to save it on his knee. Adopting the same strategy in the premier class will see him on his arse. But in 2014 - watch out! You'll remember that Valentino spent a season to learn and then a season to win in each class he participated in. Marquez will be similar, although Rossi, Dani and George are not the sort of people to be ridden roughshod over. He'll be in the mix, but it's quite a spicy mix.
Yep in with Glidd on this one. His results will be very similar to JL. Some very quick laps, but its going to be a crash fest  I recon he'll be on the podium within five races thou
Rossis learning curve in the big class got him second position to KR junior not really a bad learning curve . I think that he is the most exciting rider to come to the big class for a long time. I also agree that he will find it tougher than the 600s but it wont be as much a jump as the likes of rossi or Lorenzo/pedrosa`s hike in class. 250`s to 500`s and then 800`s or 1000`s must be more daunting.
One thing is guaranteed......the adults in the GP class will be throwing their teddy's out of the pram with his antics, but he'll learn.
Don't sit on the fence Sp, tell us what you really feel... It's true that some of his moves have been outrageous, but he is a hell of a rider and motogp desperately needs someone to come in and upset the apple cart right now, especially since the early demise of Simoncelli. I just hope he still has the balls to fight once he's up in the big league. Spies certainly didn't. And my money's on Cal to be the first one to deck him...
I think he is going to be very quick from the off. He had a strong season without a substantial bike advantage in moto 2, and goes into moto GP on a bike notably quicker than the competition.
what impressed me most was the couple of races he had to make it stick in the last 3 laps. When the competition was loosing it all over the place, he was like on rails.. and when he wasn't winning , it was like he was controlling it... i think he will be a challenger very quickly...
Interesting one but I'm with Glid on this one in that he'll really come good in 2014. But I wouldn't write him off next season. I reckon he could get a few podiums.
Depends if he can get away with cheating again i guess. Seems his crew may have been doctoring the ECU maps. Must confess I thought his straightline speed advantage looked decidely unfair at times. Moto2: Marquez accused of cheating
I think he will fall off pushing it for the first couple races then be around bradl Crutchlow with a podium now and again But that's just my opinion I hope he comes in and makes motogp more fun too watch we need another Marco though
I read that the other day, but thats the only motorcycle news source who are running the story at the moment. Nothing on Bikesportnews or MCN. Fastbikes did tweet it thou
He is a super aggressive rider and a fast one too. But I dunno, Simmo was a great rider AND a terrific personality that everyone loved. Marquez is not the same. MGP is boring as anything and won't change as long as we have CRTs and a handful of factory bikes on the same grid.
Thing is, would you really ride across the continent to see a Moto2 race, or do you still want to see the most outrageous motorbikes people can currently build and watch people going extremely fast trying to tame them? It's not time to give up on MotoGP, just turn it into something worth watching. In F1 a few years ago, the only overtaking was in the pit lane. The same people always won - it was dire. The Hungarian GP in particular was like watching paint dry. Now it's actually quite interesting and wide open. The cars surely aren't any slower though.
