Let me explain --- In March I had a Harley Road King and a BMW R1200GS, both big and heavy but loved them. Then in March I had a double heart bypass and a new heart valve. No probs but now on a large dose of warfarin with very thin blood. All the doctors told me in no uncertain terms no more motorbikes. Had a long talk with my wife and decided the bikes had to go. Well cutting off my arm would have been easier. As soon as I had recovered enough to ride again I bought another bike, a bike that I had always wanted, a Ducati. Bought the Multi S Touring. Great choice I told my wife, much lighter and more managable. Now at 63 I should know better and be slowing down given all that has happened but I do have a big problem with the Multi. That is, even though it is still running in, the growl between 4 and 5 thousand revs is trully addictive. I cannot stop doing it. My wife would take the keys away if she found out. I need help. My right hand thinks I am 20 again. What happens when it is run in and will rev beyond 5 thou, how can I restrict the revs as my right hand is out of control.
Brilliant mate. it's guys like you that make us young 50yr olds keep the faith . long may you reign
It must be all that warfarin carousing through your system, speeds up the blood flow and thus the thinking too, creating an absolute need for speed! I would have a word with your surgeon! Well done bud....some people your age are already taking out funeral plans, instead of sucking out the marrow of life!
Good effort sir. I had a similar problem with my right hand at the tender age of 14 or 15 (cant remember exactly it so long ago) anyhow I converted a vertical action to rotary and have never looked back since. Go to your next check up on the Multi in your riding gear. See what the surgeon says then!
