Ok not a Ducati but could have relevance to anybody who needs a new fuel cap on a custom or older bike. I was looking to replace the scabby piece fitted to a Guzzi 1100 sport I'm restoring of course try getting any bling for a Guzzi and you're into a world of pain. I got some conflicting info about what would fit and what wouldn't and eventually I got in touch with Oberon as I like their gas cap but didn't hold out much hope of getting one to fit. Oberon came back and asked me to send them the old cap, take some tank dimensions and they'd do their best. To cut a long story short they altered an existing cap BY machining some bits off, then got it anodized. Just for me!!! I couldn't make up my mind if I wanted the black cap or the red one either. So they then sent up new cap assembly with a red cap and a black cap in the package for me to try. Nothing charged until I was sure it worked. It did and I'm delighted. I just think any company that would go to these lengths deserves a mention. Absolutely first class service, same cost as a standard cap. Oh and the photographs do not do justice to the quality of the caps they are beautiful. Oh I chose the black John
Speaking from experience put a little grease on the threads I had one that was a bitch to open when screwed tight. After I managed to open the cap and refuel I left it shy of being closed tight and guess what??? The bastid thing managed to fully unscrew and decided to part company from the bike ffs
oberon are great, i scuffed one of their billit indicators stupudly, i sent ot t them and they repaced the scuffed metal part for a fiver +1 on the grease tip tho, they can seize on easily
Oberon are great. Bought several products from them and they are always great quality and their customer service is always excellent
