Bike Art

  1. Out of curiosity, would any of you want (and pay for, of course) a one-off oil painting of their bike?

...........or anything else come to that......like er, the wife , maybe? (yours, I mean)

I'm just looking for ideas which way to go with my own efforts....which are pretty varied at the moment.....

For example, if anyone has a favourite photo of themselves on a trackday; that could reproduced in oils........(providing the photographer is OK about it).

  2. I think that would be one for the downstairs loo, together with the bear foot Venture photos of the family

  3. Well............p*ss off, then............

  5. Wrong medium, I think Ducati's would lend themselves to pencil, ink or charcoal drawings, or maybe water colours at a push.

  6. Think it depends if you're talking £50 or £500. Since canvas prints came on board, seems the market has been swamped with look-i-like type works of art

  7. You haven't seen my oil work...........

  8. Yep agreed........but lookalikes aren't the real thing........they can be reproduced time and time again....a genuine painting can only be reproduced as posters etc, so they are 'fakes'.....

What I was suggesting would be oil paintings on proper deep edge canvas (framing not required) at, say 20" x 30"....
