Hi Guys, I know this might have been asked many times previously but times change and some new business might open or old close etc... Anyway I need the top left hand panel on my 749 resprayed and would be grateful if anyone could share feedback on painters near the Slough - Uxbridge area specialised on bikes that can properly paint match. I've seen on the forum many saying that car painters are not good sometimes for bike work. Thanks in advance for any good lead.
https://www.facebook.com/TripleCPaintwork/ Here you go, call Mike and tell him Dibble sent you, he should get you sorted.
Somewhat further away than you were looking for - Horsham - but myself and a mate have used Tony / cycle sprays for bike work. https://www.cyclesprays.com
Thanks all for the feedback. I will try to get to the nearest if possible as taking days off work to drop off the part and collect is not an option at the moment.
He can use who he likes but I know plenty that had overpriced work out of Altamura that wasn't a patch on stuff coming out of other places.. Maybe your man Tony is awesome but for me the Altamura link provides no credibility .... I'd have used at least 3 other shops before I even thought to use them when they were around.
Yep Horsham is some way from Uxbridge and whilst a nice drive out to the sticks it’s somewhat of a journey to drop off parts! Paint on your bikes looks ace dibble and sounds like a great choice for the op and others in the area. That’s what I like about this forum - advice and recommendations. Thought worth sharing feedback on (for me what was) a decent painter in case others were searching for a painter darn Sarf. And with Covid it’s great to give the little (although Tony if massive!) guys an opportunity. Just for clarity, don’t know if Tony / Cyclesprays is or was affiliated with Altamura - had read Sev’s post as referring to Chromaconcepts. Cheers
@Sev that all makes sense now, as I was surprised with some of what I saw as I know at one point they had a great reputation, so looks like we were both holding valid views
I agree, unless someone else comes up with someone nearer I will go with the one Dibble suggested. I just need to find the time to go there if closed on saturdays
If it helps I can collect the panel from Slough and drop it in to him, if you pass across the panel that needs paint and the lower panel for him to match to can be sorted that way ? Happy to help as regularly whizzing up and down the M4 ... PM me if you want the help
