Bike Training For Kids

Discussion in 'Trackdays & Rider Skills' started by Mamaowl, Aug 6, 2019.

  1. Hi guys,
    does anyone have any experience or know of any bike (track/off road, obviously) training for kids? We are talking about around the age of 2... or younger.
    I've been doing some research but most places don't start until the age of 5 or above.
    does anyone have any experience with riding schools/camps or private instructors for under 5's?

    any info/advice would be mucho appreciated.

  2. This isn't for real is it ? How many 2 year olds do you know that can ingest what they need to learn the ride a bike ???

  3. Must be a windup

  4. Don’t even know many 2 year olds able to ride a bicycle at that age

  5. Mugging scooterists have to start sometime

  6. Plenty on YouTube are riding pretty good as young as 2. Think Danny pedrosa was blasting a mini bike round his local go-cart track at 3 and racing by 5... Granted 2 years old may not be the norm but if the kid has learnt to ride he could learn more skills even if just monkey see monkey, do stuff.
    Probably due to health and safety you'd find it hard to find a school catering for kids that young..

  7. @chizel watch this thread dude :cool::upyeah:

  8. What do you mean by that?

  9. Oh, hello again :joy:

  10. that's what I thought too Chizel... :expressionless:
    thanks for... all the interest and comments guys.

  11. Can your kid ride a 'balance bike' yet?

  12. You could try the Oset electric bike the 12.5 might fit him, for the record my 2 and a half year old grandson can't use a balance bike but can ride the Oset fine, because it electric and quiet we take him and his brother over the local park, turn the motor down and you can walk/jog along side him no problem, he has had a few off's but he is straight back on, gear is the limiting factor being so small, halfords do a full face push bike helmet that works ok with a beanie hat on under it, not ideal but the best we can do.
