That's BS, I have TWO and Carol Nash do NOT give a BEAN off! However great way of tracking your bike, but nothing off for having one. I will phone DI and ask the question but don't know why I bother as they never gave money off before.
Hi Andy, Did you try with Ducati Insurance also? I am 100% honest regarding the discount, as the 1199s will be for work and pleasure I was quoted over £1000 for fullly comp insurance with everyone. Until I spoke to Ducati Insurance who advised me to have a biketrac fitted and my insurance is a fraction over £400.00. This is one of the main reasons why we decided to sell their product because it does offer great features and benefits. I should point out that Conquest Carbon are not affiliated with Ducati Insurance in any way.
I did some time back yes, I will ask again to cover myself but as I say I talked with many companies in regards to BikeTrac and was very disappointed to get 0% discount! some even classed it as a modification and wanted MORE money! Unbelievable! However like I say, it's a GREAT bit of kit and I would recommend it to anyone regardless of discounted insurance! If you want a chance at getting your bike back, GET one!
I believe that all may change with BikeTrac as it is the first of its kind to be awarded thatchem cat 7 rating. Also moto-insure offer 25% discount if you have one fitted, here is a link from BikeTrac's site about it. Let's hope it does change, people need to understand too that the system is monitored by agents at BikeTac, it's not just waisted money each year! they look into activations of the system and even call you to be sure it's all ok if one is set off! Great service from BikeTrac.
Having just insured my bike with Ducati Insurance, I can confirm my premium went down after I mentioned that the bike had a BikeTrac fitted.
Great Trackers i have them on my 2013,1199s & 2015Diavel carbon white, they even e mail /txt you when battery running flat , Excellent
I have my bikes fitted with these trackers can't praise em enough the first one was fitted in 2011 the response time is brilliant, mostly set off by me by mistake. And yes I get discount for having them installed. What bike you got ? and how much is your insurance if I may ask?
