Biketrac

  1. Help please, anyone know why the Biketrac app won't work on my iPhone or iPad, and how sensitive is the unit to vibration or slight movement. Went for a spin yesterday and I became paranoid about leaving the ignition on until I'd finished faffing around putting gloves and stuff in top box, which then sets me worrying about draining the bikes battery, oh! and one more thing how much of a drain on the battery does the Biketrac make ?
    Cheers.

  2. I don’t know why the app doesn’t work on your Apple device but I’ll have a play later to see if I can set it upon my iPad. With 6 years of experience of Bike Trac units, I rarely set the unit fitted to my Multistrada off simply taking it off the centre stand or wheeling it out of the garage. My girlfriend’s Diavel however is 50/50 that it will go off moving it around. My 1098R is very sensitive and you just have to look at it which is a bit infuriating. The only way to be sure is to test the limits, if you get a phone call it is really no issue. The drain from the unit will flatten your bike battery in a relatively short period of time so I keep all 3 on battery maintainers. Andy

  3. Just set the app up on my iPad with no problems. Andy

  4. App works for me, too!
Just getting on and off the bike seems ok, wheeling it from a petrol pump to a garage forecourt parking space with the ignition off will trigger it, as will moving it from my garage out onto my drive.

  5. Thanks @Android853sp appreciate it, I seem to be able to download the app but then when I click on the icon after a second or so of circles on either the iPhone and iPad it switches off and goes back to the home screen, then I get announcement saying Biketrac app has suddenly shut down and do I want to send a complaint so that they can look at the problem, which I've replied yes to several times but not received any reply as yet ?
Android would it be ok to leave charging until rack weekend ?

Thanks @razz, do they get shirty if you trigger it accidentally on a semi regular basis :(

  6. I spent most of a day setting mine off accidentally. No issues, they were quit helpful and just activated a service period of time, after which it would turn on again properly.

If the app won’t work, simply bookmark the page (add to home screen) and that works perfectly.

I can usually faff about taking the seat off, top box off etc with no issues. I do always flick the key to on before actually standing it up or wheeling it though.

  7. @broke, I wouldn't want to leave it for more than a week but if you can get the app working (try delete and a clean reinstall) you can check the battery voltage from the app/Web site. Andy

  8. Thanks @JH_1986 thats what I've done, after some research I've discovered there are some things you can't do on the app, ah! well.

    And thanks again @Android853sp :upyeah:
